What did I do on my Summer Vacation?

First, I had an incredible time teaching and performing at The Park School's Summer Creative Arts Program. I met so many amazing young performers and gifted staff. I also got to sing with Rockband Class, work with Rose O'Mally recording, playing and teaching with Nando Michelin and the pleasure of working and teaching with Mica Richards-Moellering. A few gigs with Toni Lynn Washington were played, couple local festivals and once a month to packed crowds at The Beehive in Boston. Dave Coffin's residence at Toad continues as we prepare for recording next month. I'll be engineering Dave's project along with Kevin O'Brien, Chuck Anastasiou. Also on the recording front, Allyssa Jones started her next solo album project. I engineered the main session over at BAA and now have begun additional tracking and editing with Mark Shilansky, Greg Holt and Colin Sapp. I'm mixing the David Greenberger and Bangalore collaboration project recorded at WGBH, slated to be available this Fall. Vento Chiaro Wind Quintet CD produced by and released on Jonathan Cohler's Ongaku Record Company, recorded by Visions Music is now available www.ventochiaro.org. On the fun side... Sally turned 3 on June 4 with a cupcake party with friends, a great 4th of July camping trip complete with a day at Water Country and Campfire cooked hotdogs. Still trying to complete the list of "Must See" Summer movies... Checks in the boxes next to Dark Knight and Tropic Thunder, still to go Wall-E, Pineapple Express and Death Race. But, days at Canobie Lake with Colin and Nana/GrampyMitch and a Labor Day Whale Watch made it an amazingly complete Summer for 2008.

The Fall...

The Boston Arts Academy is geared up and getting excited for the return of students... I'm firing up the studios in NH and Boston for the new school year as well. Thanksgiving at Disney World!! (My sister lives there now in Cinderella's Castle) Bangalore and Jeff Louie are inches away from finishing their respective recording projects and a bunch of great new recording leads on the horizon.

Good stuff... Peace...

An eclectic blend of Indian Classical Music, Funk and Rock comes from the newly formed band TRIVENI... new CD recording is now available. Hear samples in the MP3 section of this website. The intoxicating vocalist from the group Shuchita Rao is pictured below...

After a couple days of boiling water and Kraft Dinner, the boys from Bangalore ( trio of Sven Larson, Phil Kaplan and myself) joined me for a recording retreat.

I'm finishing recording their next CD and managed to slide into the drumseat at the 11th hour to play drums on a couplee tunes as well as engineer the project. Here's a little video from our time in the mountains... it was a lot of fun guys thanks for coming up and having me on the show.
