It's Mid-April and it marks three months of heading up my Audio/Video company full-time. It was a terrific winter of projects and travel, but Spring's milder weather and new projects are worth the wait. This post also marks the opening of a new and improved davejamrog.com.
Benjamin Zander is going strong at 75 years old and is performing the third act of Sigfried by Richard Wagner, Sunday, April 26th at Symphony Hall. I'll be there with Elias Boquillon to capture that with 5 cameras. The second season of Interpretation Classes has come to a close, meaning I've produced 11 episodes of classes which are publicly available. Gearing up for fundraising videos with BPYO and accompanying the 120 person orchestra on a tour of Germany, Czech Republic and Switzerland in June.
I've also been working with Tom Vignieri (director of "From the Top" and independent composer) on a new video "To Sing" which is a sequel to "Soft Rains" released in the Summer of 2014. Tom's arrangements of Baroque and Classical works were just performed at the 2015 Handel and Haydn Society Gala with Aisslinn Nosky.
The Phillips Exeter Academy's tour to Vietnam was an incredible adventure and incredible opportunity for work in Asia. Many music and travel photos and videos (produced by Dave Jamrog Audio/Video) are available here. A 2min highlight documentary will be played at the upcoming Boston Global Forum conference in July.
Mika and Richard Stoltzman continue their work towards the commercial release of a DVD video. Mika will tour Europe and Asia in the Fall of 2015... a live DVD from the upcoming Rockport Jazz Festival is slated, as well as a documentary film about her band Mikarimba, featuring Steve Gadd, Eddie Gomez and compositions by John Zorn and Chick Corea. Photos of Rockport Music Shalin Liu center recording session.
Looking forward to many more exciting video projects and opprtunities.
